I took a week off From Entrepreneurship to see what it did to me mentally!
I took a week off and went to a tropical island, I spent six days relaxing and most importantly forgetting about my 9-5, all of my responsibilities, bills, and mortgage back home. And you know what else I did, I pretended like I did not have a 9-5, that I was rich, I already had financial freedom, and that this was just me enjoying life to the fullest, being completely fulfilled and having financial freedom. I will be honest with you, It was a great feeling, It felt incredible, and it I did not want it to end. But reality struck on the last day, and we had to fly back home, back to the 9-5 grind, back to responsibilities, and back to hustling.
But I did learn a few things about this very key mental break;
- The mental break was perfect, it was a good amount of time to de-stress, not worry about anything and have a mental reset, which is important in every facet of your life.
- I want financial freedom more than ever, after this break, I had a little taste, and with my new obsession with becoming rich as quickly as I can, this only instilled even more determination in me to continue on my journey of learning, testing, trialling and hustling, in every spare minute I have.
- Side Hustles are my new passion, well-making money is, but not working for the man or as a slave for the rest of my life, but working for me, hustling for me and my family, and finding alternative ways to make more money than my 9-5 would ever give me.
- I did not mind the grind for the last 18 months, the last 18 months have been critical to opening my eyes to this new world of income and making money that I would never have been previously exposed too, and I am extremely grateful for it.
- And finally, tunnel vision, do not care or pay attention to what anyone else is doing, do not get distracted, stay on track, stay focused and never look peripherally, you have a goal, do not stop until you get there.
Check out the video below, where I kayak to an island just offshore from Rarotonga, and at the same time, talk about my last 18 months as a journey.
